Pictured here is The Hen House: a simple, timber home in the village of Fiscavaig, on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The 70 square-meter home (753 sq ft) is built from sustainable materials and features an environmentally low-impact design.

The home was designed by Rural Design Architects and contracted by James MacQueen Builders.  It has a simple design that perfectly compliments its surrounding area. The home was nominated for a number of awards and was the winner of the Saltire Housing Design Awards in 2010.

The home is now offered as a holiday retreat for £575 to £895 a night.
